I have an affectionate relationship with Terrazzo tiles. My childhood home in India was floored with its patterns. At the microscopic scale terrazzo evolved into a octagon. I have had flamboyant compositions of the octagon in my mind for several years now, it has matured its narratives with time and context. Altered its landscapes and motions. It keeps getting more complicated and difficult to capture. The more I meditate on these compositions the more biographical and performative they get.
