When the series of "posts" or "ends" have paved its wave in architecture and the site is rendered useless by time or circumstances, abandoned buildings including archaeological findings, any form of construction that has reached to its final form after being domesticated through various imaginations, over multiple cross-cultural programming and rituals performed on it throughout all the years to adapt its various roles, what remains on the field is a witness of a narrative on a solid body. A volume that sings of its presence & a void that is left to be explored; is a site that allows itself to grow, a site that is brave to accept change within its body.
To see through the means of Ends is the possibility of understanding that a body put in a field is purely dynamic. It is changing over time and evolving and adapting and aging with conditions of its physical context. To this study of the body’s relation to its site, what happens to a body inside out?
Both in its discourse and its practice, the project seeks to develop narratives that enable us to read the contemporary world, helping to generate transitions between modern structures and the forthcoming present through speculation. It is an ongoing quest for finding ways to inhabit the uncertain, the indescribable or the unexpected, still ineffable or yet to come.
To see through the means of Ends is to understand the human notion of aging and dying in an architectural body.
A body rather than focused on achieving its pristinity through the visual, embraces the ephemerality of its living nature and performs with its field. The work attempts to capture performance of these abandoned bodies with its instant environment.
